The 6 days Murchison Falls, Kibale and Lake Mburo National Park safari introduces you to the largest national park in Uganda, where you will have a morning game drive and a boat cruise, where you will enjoy animal species such as buffaloes, elephants, leopards, hyenas, Uganda kobs, crocodiles, bushbucks and many bird species. You will then head to Kibale, which is popular for having many primates, mostly chimpanzees, and then Lake Mburo National Park, where you will have a game drive and see many animal species.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer To Murchison Falls National Park

On arrival, the safari guide will meet you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will start the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. The journey takes 6 to 7 hours with an en route lunch in Masindi town. On arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive And Afternoon Boat Cruise

After an early breakfast, you will head into the park for a morning game drive. You will spot animals such as warthogs, Uganda kobs and buffaloes, among others, and predators such as leopards, lions and hyenas, among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go for an exciting boat cruise at the bottom of the falls, which begins from the Paraa Jetty landing site, and it takes 2 to 3 hours. While on the boat cruise, you will view a large concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, animals such as elephants, warthogs, and antelopes along the water banks, and a variety of bird species.

Day 3: Transfer To Kibale Forest National Park

After morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Kibale National Park, which takes 6 to 7 hours with lunch en route. On arrival, you will head into your lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking And Bigodi Swamp Walk

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will head to the park’s headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will enter the forest in search of the habituated chimpanzees. The chimpanzee trek takes 1 hour to 4 hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees. After locating the chimpanzees, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them carry out their day-to-day activities. You will take photos as well, and then after the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go for a nature walk in Bigodi swamp, where you will spot mammals such as grey-cheeked mangabeys, olive baboons, vervet monkeys and red-tailed monkeys and many bird species such as turacos, hornbills and kingfishers, among others. After the nature walk, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer To Lake Mburo National Park And Afternoon Game Drive

After morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Lake Mburo National Park. The journey takes 4 to 5 hours, and on arrival, you will check into the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will head for an exciting game drive within the park. You will spot animals such as waterbucks, zebras, elands, leopards, topi and warthogs, among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Guided Nature Walk And Transfer Back To Kampala

After the morning breakfast, you will go for a guided nature walk within the forest, where you will walk to the salt lick and spot animals enjoying the taste of the salty licks, which are made up of water and soil. You will also spot many bird species and many more.

After the guided nature walk, you will embark on the journey back to Kampala with an en route lunch at the equator. On arrival, you will be dropped off at the Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home or any other place of your choice.
