A 5 days fly in Chimpanzee and gorilla safari involves domestic flights from Entebbe Airport to Kasese Airstrip to get to Kibale National Park, which is known as the primate capital. Some of the Primates in Kibale National Park include chimpanzees, and therefore, you will engage in a chimpanzee trek while at Kibale National Park. The next domestic flight will be from Kasese Airstrip to Kisoro Airstrip, from where you will link to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a gorilla trek. Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Kibale National Park and Bigodi swamp walk
On the first day of the safari, you will fly from Entebbe Airport to Kasese Airstrip, where you will link up with our company representative guide. You will be briefed about the safari details by the guide that you will meet there, and then you will begin the drive to Kibale National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into a lodge and have lunch
The guide will transfer you from the lodge in the afternoon, and you will go for a Bigodi swamp walk. The Bigodi swamp walk will last for about 3 hours, and you will spot several primates, like monkeys, among others. You will also spot birds while swamp walking. There are also different vegetation types that you will see while on the swamp walk. You will be transferred back to the lodge in the evening. You will have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking
On the second day of the safari, you will have an early morning breakfast and then you connect with the park guides at the Kanyachu visitor’s centre for a briefing. You will be briefed about chimpanzee trekking, and then you will set off to start the search for the chimpanzees with an armed ranger guide. You will search for the chimpanzees in the forest as you enjoy other views of wildlife. You will take about 2 to 4 hours searching for the chimpanzees, and after spotting them, you will have a duration of only one hour with them. You will observe the way they behave in different aspects. You will then take pictures of them and you return to the lodge. You will have lunch at the lodge, and then you will spend the afternoon at the lodge. You will have dinner in the evening, and then you will retire to bed.

Day 3:Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On the third day of the safari, you will have breakfast, and you will exit the lodge. The guide will drive you to Kasese Airstrip. You will then fly from Kasese Airstrip to Kisoro Airstrip. Upon arrival at Kisoro Airstrip, you will meet a guide who will drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will check into a lodge, and you will have lunch. You will spend the afternoon at the lodge and then have dinner in the evening. You will retire to bed.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural experience
On the fourth day of the safari, you will have an early morning breakfast and get a packed lunch at the lodge. You will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will be briefed about gorilla trekking and informed about the gorilla family that you will search for. You will set off with an armed ranger guide to find the gorillas. You will spend one hour with the gorilla family in their habitat after searching for them for about 1 to 7 hours, and you will observe the way they behave. With your flashlight off, you will take pictures of them and then the guide will transfer you to the lodge for relaxation.

A guide will transfer you from the lodge after relaxing and take you for a Batwa cultural experience. The Batwa cultural experience will involve engaging in numerous activities with the Batwa. You will learn from them how they prepare their local dishes. You will also learn their ancient hunting and food-gathering skills. You will also see how they dance their cultural dance. You will visit their community projects, and then the guide will drive you back to the lodge. You will be served dinner, and you will retire to bed.

Day 5: Fly back to Entebbe Airport
