Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
On day 1 of the 3 days Uganda chimpanzee habituation, you will be transferred by a guide from Kampala to Kibale National Park, and this guide will meet you at your location in Kampala, where you will first go through the itinerary, and then you set off. You will have views of the Rwenzori mountains along the way and also have stops at the equator monument for pictures and at a hotel for lunch. You will arrive at Kibale National Park and make a choice of the lodge you want to stay at. You will then have dinner and rest your the night

Day 2: Chimpanzee habituation
On day 2 of the 3 days Uganda chimpanzee habituation, you will have breakfast at the lodge, and then the guide will pick you up from the lodge and take you to the park headquarters, where you will be briefed. You will go along with your packed meal for lunch. You will be guided on how to behave when you go for chimpanzee habituation, and then you will be provided with a guide to accompany you.
Unlike chimpanzee trekking, chimpanzee habituation enables you to spend more time with the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. The time you will take on your search for the chimpanzees will depend on their location, and meeting a habituated chimpanzee family requires you not to exceed 4 people in a group. As you search for them, you will have encounters with other primates like the olive baboons, l’hoest monkeys, blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and many more.
When you get to the natural habitat of the chimpanzees, you will have a guide to tell you information about the chimpanzees, and you are free to ask questions depending on your observations. You will be able to see how the chimpanzees associate with humans, how they feed and play. Capturing moments on camera will be the order of the day, and after gathering all the information you need, you will head back to the lodge and have some rest.
After freshening up, you will have dinner, and you will head to bed for your night’s rest
Day 3: Bigodi swamp walk and transfer back to Kampala
On day 3, which will be the last day of the 3 days Uganda chimpanzee habituation, you will have breakfast early in the morning and you will check out of the lodge. The guide will transfer you from the lodge, and you will go for the Bigodi swamp walk. This walk will provide you with numerous views of birds and other wildlife species. You will also get to see the plant life around this area.
After the walk, you will head to a hotel where you will have lunch, and then you will start the journey back to Kampala.
