You will be picked up from Entebbe Airport or your hotel by our driver-guide, who will brief you about this Uganda safari and then start the journey to Kibale Forest National Park, which takes about a 6- to 7-hour drive. On the way, you will have a stopover for en route lunch in Fort Portal and later proceed to Kibale Forest National Park.
Upon arrival, you will go for an amazing Bigodi Swamp walk where you will be able to spot different bird species, like the great blue turaco, hornbills, and kingfishers, and spot primates, like vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, L’hoest monkeys, and black and white colobus monkeys, among others. Later, connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Chimpanzee habituation experience
After an early breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to transfer to the park headquarters at Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a chimpanzee habituation briefing. After the briefing, you will join a team of researchers, park guides and park rangers and start trekking in the forest in search of the chimpanzees. Chimpanzee habituation in Kibale Forest National Park takes a whole day, and during the trek, you will be able to view other primates like the bush baby, olive baboons, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and red colobus monkeys and spot different bird species and mammals, among others.
Once the chimpanzees are located, you will be allowed to spend four hours with them, which gives you an opportunity to watch them feed, breastfeed, play, fight, hunt, participate in the naming process, take pictures and record videos. After the habituation experience, you will return to the lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe
You will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet with your driver guide to start the journey back to Kampala with views of the crater lakes, Rwenzori peaks, tea plantations, and homesteads, among others.
