Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
When you meet with the professional driver guide at a hotel in Kampala, you will exchange greetings, and then you will embark on a drive southwest towards Kibale Forest, a journey of about 5 to 6 hours.
Along the way, you will have a stop for lunch and afterwards proceed with the journey. You will reach Kibale Forest National Park, home to one of the densest populations of primates in Africa. After checking into your lodge, settle in and enjoy a dinner in the evening. You will thereafter retire to bed.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early breakfast, the guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the guidelines to follow while chimpanzee tracking and what to expect. After the briefing, you will begin the trek with the company of an armed ranger guide. The trek can last between 1 and 4 hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees. Once you find the chimpanzees, you will be able to spend up to an hour observing them in their natural environment as you watch them play, groom and interact with each other.
After your chimpanzee trek, the guide will return you to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will check out of the lodge. After checking out of your lodge, you will head towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, which will take approximately 2 to 3 hours. Along the way, you may pass through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth, famous for its tree-climbing lions.
Once you arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will check into your lodge. After freshening up, you will embark on your game drive in Queen Elizabeth. This is the ideal time to spot some of the park’s abundant wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and various bird species. You will later retire to the lodge, where you will have dinner and your night’s rest.

Day 3: Morning game drive, boat cruise and Departure
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and then head to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will embark on an early morning game drive. You might head toward the Mweya Peninsula. The game drive will take about 4 hours with the company of a guide. As you drive through the park, you will set eyes on the lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyenas, warthogs and various species of birds. The guide will return you to the lodge to relax and have lunch.
In the afternoon, you will head out for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The boat cruise will reward you with views of crocodiles, hippos and a variety of birdlife, including kingfishers, pelicans and the African fish eagle. The Kazinga Channel is also known for its large concentrations of elephants and buffalo that come to drink from the water. After your boat cruise, you will return to the lodge and check out. You will then embark on the journey back to Kampala.
