Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and Transfer to Kibale National Park
The adventure will start with a pickup from your hotel in Kampala. You will be greeted by your Uganda safari guide, who will be with you throughout your trip, sharing their deep knowledge of the area and its wildlife. From here, you will embark on a 5- to 6-hour drive southwest towards Kibale National Park. On your way, you will make a stop for lunch. As you continue your journey, you will cross through several towns and villages, providing a glimpse into the local Ugandan way of life.
In the late afternoon, you will arrive in the heart of Kibale Forest. Check into your lodge and freshen up. After freshening up, you will go out for a guided nature walk around your lodge. This nature walk allows you to get a feel for the environment, where you will learn about the local flora and fauna, including bird species and smaller primates. Your guide will help you identify the wide variety of trees, plants and animals that inhabit the area. After the nature walk, you will get back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, you will set off early in the morning for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. Before you begin, you will be given a briefing by your guide at the park headquarters, where they will explain the rules and guidelines for a safe and responsible trekking experience. The trek will take about 1 to 4 hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees.
When you find the chimpanzees, you will be able to observe them in their natural environment for up to an hour. Once your chimpanzee trek is complete, you will return to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will leave Kibale and begin the 5- to 6-hour journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Upon arrival in Bwindi, you will check into your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Departure
You will have breakfast at the lodge and then head to the park headquarters for a briefing, where you will meet your trekking guide. The guides will provide you with important information on safety, behaviour around Ugandan gorillas and the importance of this wildlife experience. The trek can last between 2 and 6 hours, depending on where the gorillas are located. Once you locate the gorilla family, you will have an hour to observe them.
After your gorilla trek, you will go back to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. The drive is approximately 8 to 9 hours. Depending on your time of departure, you may arrive in Kampala or Entebbe by late evening.
