Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Depending on your point of departure, our driver-guide will pick you up and brief you about the safari. Then, transfer to Kibale Forest National Park, passing via Mityana and Fort Portal with a stop for lunch en route. After lunch, proceed to the park. Arriving in the evening, check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking

Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast at the lodge; then, you will be driven to the park headquarters for chimpanzee trekking rules. After the briefing, you will be escorted by park rangers through the forest trails in search of chimpanzee individuals. Once you have found them, you will be allowed one hour to observe their behaviours, habits and play and enjoy taking photos. Back to the lodge, relax, have dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 3: Birding at Bigodi swamp and return to Kampala

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the lodge and go for birding at Bigondi Wetland for bird and butterfly views. After, set back to Kampala with lunch en route along the way. You will arrive in the late afternoon to be dropped at your lodge in Kampala or Entebbe or at Entebbe Airport for your departure flight.
