A 2 days Kibale National Park safari is a safari to Uganda’s primate capital that shelters about 13 primate species. This Uganda safari will take you to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee trekking, and you get to spend an hour with the chimpanzees. You will travel from Kampala to get to Kibale National Park via the Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru caves, where you will explore the beauty around these caves. You will also meet guides who will give you information about the Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru caves and the history behind them.

Day 1: Transfer from a hotel in Kampala to Kibale National Park and a Bigodi swamp walk

At a hotel of your choice in Kampala, you will meet and exchange greetings with our company guide, who will then transfer you to Kibale National Park after going through the safari details. You will be guided about the information on the safari, and you will set off.

On your way to Kibale National Park, you will branch off at Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru caves and have a glance at these caves. You will have a routine lunch at a hotel in Fort Portal town. You will then proceed to Kibale National Park, and you will check into a lodge. You will then be taken for a Bigodi swamp walk. The Bigodi swamp walk will expose you to several birds, primates and many more. You will then get back to the lodge for dinner and your night’s rest.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer back to Kampala

You will be served breakfast early in the morning, and you will be transferred from the lodge to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will be briefed about chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest, and you will be given a guide to escort you. You will start the chimpanzee trek as you follow trails in the forest.

You will take about 30 minutes to 4 hours to spot the chimpanzees in the forest. You will come across a variety of birds and primate species. You will spend one hour with the chimpanzees after spotting them. You will monitor how they behave and then take photos of them. You will be returned to the lodge for lunch. You will check out of the lodge after the lunch meal, and you will begin the journey back to Kampala. The guide will drop you at a hotel in Kampala
